The template uses a feature in Word called “styles.” A “style” is a set of formatting characteristics that is applied to a portion of text. To display or hide formatting marks (e.g., spaces, tabs, and paragraph breaks) in a Microsoft Word. Shortcut: SHIFT-F1 and then click on your text. Do this again to turn it off or just close the Reveal Formatting window. Under options in the Reveal Formatting window, select the Show all formatting marks check box.Select Display from the listing at the left. In Word 2007, from the Office Button menu, select Word Options near the bottom right corner of the menu. In the section labeled Show non-printing characters, you’ll see all the same options as were available in the MS Word for Windows instructions above.In Word 2010, on the File tab, click Options. From the Word menu, choose Preferences.
